Personality: Gilded Skull was originally a very average and well adjusted man. Unfortunately, such qualities tend to get thrown out the window when one is kidnapped and experimented on against their will. Such was the fate of the man destined to become Gilded Skull. Forced into a suit of golden armor topped with a similarly gilded skull-shaped helmet, Skull has wanted nothing more than to be left alone since that day. Being as severely self conscious about his new self as he is, it is no surprise that Skull reacts to criticism, scrutiny, and ridicule with the aggressiveness and standoffishness that he does. He would love nothing more when visiting public places, such as the supermarket, than to simply do his business and leave. Nevertheless, it appears he can never get a break. Whether it's a distressed woman, frantically smacking him with her purse, or a hero, confronting and assaulting him. At times, he can't keep his outings peaceful even if he wants to. A sneeze, a slip and fall, or even a heated glare can end up causing collateral damage. Other times, he just gets so fed up with it all that he goes on a bit of a rampage. Regardless, Skull isn't inherently villainous. His villain/monster status is merely due to a combination of poor luck, bad temper, and having a golden super suit forcefully grafted to his body by some mysterious and evil group. Really, all he'd rather do is relax at home in his boxers, watching TV.

Likes:

Television - As a major couch potato in his spare time, Gilded Skull spends several hours a day watching television. He is especially interested in cartoons and dramatic soap opera type shows.

Cooking - The consumption of food is one of the only ways that Gilded Skull can interact with the body underneath his suit. As such, he has become a freak for fine food. However, because of his appearance he cannot simply go out and visit nice restaurants, let alone pay for the meal. As a result, he has spent a long time training himself in the arts of cuisine.

Capes - Despite basically being a normal man unwillingly and permanently stuffed in a golden body suit, Skull does have a pretty eccentric fashion sense. His closet is nearly full of identical black and red capes, and he makes new ones as old ones wear out. He wears these capes to the exclusion of any other garment (except for heart print boxers, which he only wears when alone.)

Dogs - Skull has always admired man's best friend from afar. He'd really like to keep a dog as a pet, but he's afraid that he might hurt it somehow. Instead, he often loiters behind trees at dog parks, observing them. This often leads to confrontation with disgruntled dog walkers and, in many cases, heroes.

Dislikes:

Mirrors - Skull has two holes in his bedroom wall. In place of the first hole, there was originally a mirror, which was there when he moved in. He always tried to avoid it, until one day he felt he had to look into it. He thought a piece of food might have been stuck to the front of his mask, and he needed to check. He took one look at himself and was filled with rage, punching a hole in the wall. The second hole was from where he realized he might still need a mirror for some things, and bought another one. That lasted a whole three days. He also almost never enters his bathroom, for fear of opening another open air window in his home.

Insects and Arachnids - Skull has an unnatural hatred for creepy crawlies. The moment he sees one, he pursues it immediately, intent to kill flashing in his eyes. This leads to problems in public places, since he almost never has an object with him to kill the pest with, and has to resort to using his hands. This inevitably results in collateral damage to the surrounding area.

Heroes - Skull has no small amount of disdain for heroes. All they usually see in him is a scary man with a skull for a head. He never asked for this, you know?

Skeletons - Skull is unnerved by the sight of the human skeleton. If you asked him, he'd tell you he didn't know if this was a fear he developed before or after the incident with his suit, but it persists regardless.

Motivations: Gilded Skull's main motivation is the prospect of living the rest of his natural life in peace, left to his own couch potato tendencies. Sometimes he entertains the thought of somehow getting his golden suit removed, but he almost always subsequently realizes that that is highly unlikely. From time to time he even wonders how much destruction he would be able to cause with the power of his new outer skin, and if he could perhaps harness it's strength and use it as he pleases... but that isn't something a man who only wishes to rejoin society or be left in peace would consider, is it?

Fears/Disgusts:

Insects and Arachnids - As mentioned above, insects and arachnids unnerve and disgust Gilded Skull. Seriously. He would wage war on all of arthropod kind if he could.

His Body - Skull does not like looking at himself for any reason. Mirrors usually find themselves broken around him, and he has been known to punch out windows and shiny countertops if he focuses on his reflection too long. He is also very self conscious about his appearance, and his emotional responses to certain reactions to his looks have resulted in numerous injuries.
